Description
A wonderful kaleidoscope of yellow fruit, crushed stone, honeysuckle, ant nectarine. The palate is extremely well-balanced with complex flavors of quince and white peach, backed by a strong foundation of pristine minerality. This wine is poised and spellbinding.

Outer quote mark A ripe if restrained nose shyly reflects notes of resin, pear, apple and an admirably discreet dollop of wood. There is fine volume and surprisingly good power to the vibrant and mouth coating medium-bodied flavors that possess fine depth and persistence. This is an excellent Chassagne villages and worth considering. *Outstanding Top Value* Inner quote mark

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village comes from six parcels within the appellation. Perhaps this suffers in following on from the En Remilly, as it does not quite deliver the same level of complexity and intensity. The palate is actually better, displaying a fine bead of acidity and quite saline in the mouth but just missing some personality toward the finish. Not bad. This was the first parcel picked in 2018 and I might have left it a day or two longer on the vine.
