The Anejo Tequila lends a rich, honeyed base to this hard-to-dislike bevvy. Xila Agave Liqueur is a nice nod to the agave nectar in a Tommy’s Margarita, while the Honey Sour syrup is a lush, quality upgrade to the atomic sweet and sour mixes of yore. A dash of bright, tart, slightly bitter grapefruit bitters ties it all nicely together. It drinks like a luxurious Gold Rush cocktail, with the unmistakable note of Agave taking place of the Whiskey’s corn sweetness.
