Description
The Tement winery, located in southern Styria on the border with Slovenia, concentrates primarily on the cultivation of white grape varieties. 95% of its vineyards are planted with varieties such as Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Pinot Blanc, Morillon and Traminer. The wines, which are grouped under the name “Steirische Klassik”, come from different vineyards and mature in stainless steel tanks. In addition to the “Steirische Klassik”, the winery also produces single-vineyard wines, each of which reflects the characteristic influence of its specific vineyard site and is matured in both large and small wooden barrels.
The Blauer Zweigelt grapes of the Tement Zweigelt Selektion thrive on loamy limestone marl soil. After natural spontaneous fermentation, the wine matures for 6 years in small oak barrels before being bottled and sealed with a cork.
This wine has storage potential until 2032, during which it has the opportunity to develop its aromas to the full.
