Description
Taylor’s is a port wine producer from Portugal. The family business was founded in 1692 and continues to produce high-quality port wines very successfully to this day. Alistair Robertson, Chairman of Taylor’s, developed the Late Bottled Vintage style. He was the first to come up with the idea of maturing port wine in barrels for so long that it is ready to drink immediately after bottling.
Taylor’s Late Bottled Vintage Port is made from the grape varieties Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barocca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Tinta Cao. Taylor’s matures for four to six years in barrels before being bottled and sealed with a natural cork.
