Description
With a population of only 3,000 on Islay, it is somewhat surprising that there are around 140 committees on this island.
Among these committees is of course the largest, the Ardbeg Committee with 120,000 members worldwide.
The Ardbeg Committee was founded in 1999. Limited release bottlings are produced exclusively for members of the committee.
This Committee release is a tribute to Punk Ellen. Punk Ellen was the name given to the port of Port Ellen in the 1970s.
Ardbeg Ardcore is distilled from deep black roasted barley malt.
No colorants or chill filtration are used during bottling.
“Like biting a spiky ball”.
