A 6-month finish in hybrid American oak and cherrywood barrels gives this 95% rye whiskey an earthy and sweet nose of mixed berries, wet walnuts, black tea, Fruit Roll-Ups, and lemon pastilles. Water brings out a buttery quality that carries over to the palate, where chocolate, pistachio, banana bread, dried herbs, and hints of citrus are found. More nutty banana bread and chocolate orange on the mid-length finish.
