With over 125 years of experience, Bodega Norton is leader in both the Argentine market and the exports market. It is known for being a vanguard and a world-class winery due to its high-end sparkling and still wines. Norton was founded in 1895 by an English engineer called Edmund James Palmer Norton. He brought the first vines imported from France and established the first winery on the South of the Mendoza River in Luján de Cuyo; a privileged area to grow Malbec.In 1989, the Austrian businessman Gernot Langes Swarovski traveled to Mendoza and became fascinated by the region’s beauty, the warmth of its people, and the incredible conditions for winemaking. He became a pioneer in Argentina by investing in the wine making industry with the specific goal of elaborating high-quality wines, not only for Argentina but also for the world.
