Description
The vineyards of LAN are a magical place and this modestly priced single vineyard bottling from the Lanciano site reflects that magic. It is lovingly made by hand from harvest through the end of the winemaking. For this price you get old vines Tempranillo rigorously sorted and vinified with 14 months of French Oak age before bottling. I’d say drink or hold. A friend of mine just told me he had the last two of his 20 year old bottles and they were great! So pop one now and put a few to sleep in the cellar and see what happens in a frew years.

This has notes of green olives, currants and salted plums, with some dill. Medium-bodied, fresh and gently chewy with pretty herb undertones.

A polished red, with kirsch and red licorice flavors accented by ground clove and pepper, dark chocolate and medicinal herb notes. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine, chalky tannins and lively orange peel acidity. Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo.
