Description
Since it was founded in 1939 by Domenico Dal Cero, the Ca dei Frati winery has remained a byword for family winemaking. With an annual production of around 400,000 bottles, of which only 30% are destined for export, the winery has secured an exclusive position on the global market.
The Ca dei Frati Ronchedone Vino Rosso is a carefully composed cuvee of 50% Marzemino, 40% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet, which thrive on a diverse terroir of chalky, clayey, sandy and silty soil.
The 14-month barrique maturation gives the Ronchedone from Ca dei Frati a pronounced depth, structure and fine woody notes, while the subsequent 10-month bottle maturation harmonizes the aroma profile. This wine has the potential to further develop its flavor complexity until 2027 and is sealed with a natural cork.
