A blend of five specifically selected barrels, distilled in the same season, were used to blend this spirit, resulting in deep, rich, concentrated flavor. After maturing in these barrels for 5 years, the emerging whiskey is a classic Pre-Prohibition Pennsylvania Bottled in Bond.
Established to guarantee that the product the consumer was buying was really whiskey, the Bottled-in-Bond Act required the spirit to be the product of one distillation season and one distiller at one distillery. This standard also designated that the product must be bottled and stored in bonded warehouses under U.S. government supervision for no less than 4 years.
Dad’s Hat Bottled in Bond Pennsylvania Straight Rye Whiskey follows all the regulations of the historic Bottled-in-Bond Act for age, proof and purity.
