Perhaps one of the best-known American DIPAs today, Dogfish knows how to do it right for serious hopheads looking for a strong, astringent kick. Dark stone fruit and fig add depth to the otherwise hop-dominated nose, while resin and pine flood the full-bodied and round mouth. It’s balanced for what it is, though there is an impression of aged Sherry on the finish with a touch of rancio and toasted walnut-infused warmth.
