Description
Two characteristics dominate this wine: it is extremely soft and extremely easy-drinking. It’s less exuberant on the nose than the Marsannay, but more velvety on the palate, silkier and, believe it or not, very long. Overall, it has a lot of charm, and has won the hearts of numerous wine-lovers, including the most demanding.

The 2019 Fixin Village had been racked into tank. Quite precocious on the nose, it offers vibrant blueberry and black cherry fruit that is quintessentially Fixin. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins, plenty of candied red fruit and a judicious dab of white pepper toward the finish. A flavor-packed Fixin that will be difficult to resist in its youth.

The 2019 Fixin (Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs) is promising, delivering scents of wild berries, coniferous forest floor and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, bright and lively, it’s nicely balanced, with powdery tannins and a mineral finish.
