Extremely expressive, the 2016 Yamhill Cuvée Pinot Noir offers an alluring nose rich with aromas of cocoa and clove. The palate is bursting with an intense patchwork of marionberry, black currant, and blueberry flavors. Polished and plush, its seamlessly integrated and silky tannins lead to a long, lingering finish. An exceptionally appealing wine, its complexity leaves you thirsty for more.

The savory qualities of the Yamhill Cuvée’s aromatics are a mix of red-currant compote, saline and roasted pork shoulder. The blackcap raspberry and blueberry flavors found on the slippery-textured palate are sweet and ripe. Velvety tannins are a nice match for the wine’s crisp acidity. Serve with your next Cubano sandwich.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee wafts up with an enticing blend of ground clove, cinnamon, shavings of cedar and dried black cherries. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness as silky textures usher in ripe wild berry fruits, all balanced by a core of zesty acidity. It leaves an air of lavender and licorice to linger, finishing with medium length and lightly structured.

The youthful ruby/magenta-hued 2021 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee comes from across the appellation and is a bit nervous on the nose, with notes of cranberries, orange peel, dusty earth, and savory cinnamon spice. Medium-bodied, it has fine tannins, a linear feel without being austere, and a clean finish. It’s a refreshing wine with good structure to drink over the next 6-8 years.

The 2021 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvée, matured for 15 months in 40% new oak, has pure scents of cranberry, cinnamon, potpourri and bitters. The medium-bodied palate offers generous layers of dark red, spicy fruit. It has a silky texture, bright acidity and a long, layered finish. It’s easy to drink without sacrificing nuance.
