Description
This rum is the latest of the three masterpieces by Francisco Fernandez Perez, known as “Don Pancho”. Senor Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez Perez, who has been active in the rum world for over 60 years, began his career at Havana Club in Cuba, where he worked as a master blender and confidant of Fidel Castro. After moving to Panama in the early 1990s, he developed Ron Abuelo with Varela Hermanos.
Panama, a country in Central America known for producing excellent rum, is the home of Don Pancho Origenes 30 Years Old, the oldest of the trio of Origenes rums. Each bottle is numbered by hand and signed by Don Pancho himself. The rum is matured for 30 years in carefully selected, untoasted American oak barrels from Kentucky.
In this way, the master blender not only honors his past, but also those who have preserved the Cuban tradition of rum production before him.
