Description
So, this beer creation was born from beer drinkers mixing Dry Dock’s IPA and Apricot Blonde at tap houses. A few years back, Dry Dock released a mixed 12pk which was inspired by this and was half and half of the two beers. And now they’ve taken it to the last progression. It pours a hazy, peach hued golden color with a medium sized, foamy off-white head. Apricot aromas a fairly bold on the nose and are backed by citrusy hops and light grainy malt aromas. The body sits at a medium weight with a medium-light carbonation level and a soft finish for an IPA. Apricot hits your palate first as well, but it’s a lot lighter than the nose leads on and it’s backed by some orange zest and hints of lemon. Citrusy and lightly earthy hops come through mid-palate before fading into more apricot towards the finish, which is short lived and replaced by a slightly dry and bitter tail end.
