This Pinot Noir cranks up the volume and is quite a contrast to the the Russian River. Rich garnet color is quite stunning, and so is the flavor intensity. Dark cherry and a hint of cranberry up front, with mouthwatering tartness that is braced by a supple tannin that gives the wine body and structure. A chefs dream, this wine just has too many food pairing possibilities to play with, in fact it could just as easily go with the recipe above as it could with a simple yet exotic grilled Georgia Quail with creamy grits.
Staff Comments: From Sonoma and decadent! A velvety aged Pinot with brambles and chocolate cherries on the nose. Full bodied and lush with macerated plums, boysenberries, mocha, and English Toffee. We couldn’t get enough! Serve this with a peppered filet mignon, a baked tomato galette with extra sharp Cheddar, or triple fudge brownies.
