Description
Only 100% blue agave is used in this Anejo tequila. The agaves are roasted in stone ovens for 36-54 hours to give the tequila its sweet, natural and mild taste.
This phase is followed by a slow fermentation of 48-60 hours. The tequila is then distilled in copper stills, which produces a rich taste with notes of caramel and oak.
After distillation, El Padrino Tequila Anejo is aged for 14-16 months in American oak barrels.
The result is a smooth yet intense flavor with aromas of cooked agave that develop during the long aging process.
