Description
Only 100% blue agave is used in this Anejo tequila. The agaves are roasted in stone ovens for 36-54 hours to give the tequila its sweet, natural and mild taste.
This phase is followed by a slow fermentation of 48-60 hours. The tequila is then distilled in copper stills, which produces a rich taste with notes of caramel and oak.
The Extra Anejo Tequila has been extra matured in American oak barrels for over three years.
The end result is a mild yet intense flavor with aromas of cooked agave that emerged during the long aging process.
