Description

If you aren’t familiar with Enegren, they’re the brewery to California that Prost is to Colorado. This Helles Bock pours a translucent copper color with a large, foamy, light copper hued head. Aromas of sweet bready malts hit your nose first, followed by a light citrus character, lager yeast esters, and some light caramel. It has a medium weight body with a medium-light carbonation and a moderately dry finish. Sweet bready malts and light caramel notes hit your palate up front, followed by lager yeast and light citrus on the mid-palate. The caramel notes resurface briefly on the finish before dropping off moderately bitter and dry. Review by Dan Chacon
