Description
Garnet red with light orange reflections. Intense fragrance of dried fruits, with notes of vanilla and underlying sweet red fruits, thanks to the sand that is present in the soil. A great balance of strength and elegance, a pleasant tannin that cleans the palate leaving a good finish of olfactory sensations. The most interesting of combinations are to be found in particular with first and second courses of the Piedmontese traditional foods. Also great with aged cheeses and dried fruits to sip only in good company.

The 2019 Barolo Prapò (with fruit from Serralunga d’Alba) is a rich and amply fleshed-out wine with dark fruit aromas, plenty of spice and dried rose, along with grilled rosemary and cola. You also get that reddish, metallic earthy note that appears so frequently in wines from this part of the appellation. The finish is medium-rich and fresh. Some 9,000 bottles were made.

The 2019 Barolo Prapò is packed with dark fruit, leather, smoke, tobacco, incense and mocha. The darker, more somber side of Serralunga comes through in this decidedly virile, imposing Barolo.

A solidly built red, with pure cherry and strawberry fruit flavors complemented by iron, eucalyptus and oak spices. Turns firm yet remains elegant on the finish, where the fruit yields to spice accents. Best from 2026 through 2043. 500 cases made, 180 cases imported.
