Description
#4 of Wine Spectator’s Top 100 for the year!! Limited availability of this vintage!
Faust Cabernet Sauvignon, rated 94 by Wine Spectator, is a standout in Napa Valley for its quality and value. Owned by the Huneeus family of Quintessa and Flowers fame, Faust launched with the 2002 vintage. Since 2011, estate director Jen Beloz and winemaker David Jelinek have been crafting this wine together.
The 2021 vintage is mostly sourced from Faust’s Coombsville vineyard, located in the cooler, southeastern corner of Napa Valley. Coombsville fruit is known for its late ripening, which helps add structure and definition to Napa Cabernets, often complementing riper, up-valley fruit. This wine is a great example of that balance, with the Coombsville vineyard making up about half of the blend, along with fruit from other renowned Napa AVAs like Yountville, Oakville, and Rutherford.
In a Napa Cabernet world where prices often soar into the triple digits, Faust provides a fantastic value without compromising on quality.
