Fetzer Monterey County Riesling

Description

The rich yellow hue of our Goosefoot Road Riesling hints at the bright fruit and floral notes in the glass. This wine opens with fragrant aromas of lemon, lavender, dried fruit, rose petal and jasmine. The palate is crisp and fresh, with notes of pear, peach and pineapple. Bright acidity is framed by a firm structure and a smooth, lingering finish. Following harvest, this Riesling underwent a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve thenatural acidity and fresh fruit character of the Riesling grape variety. Fermentation was halted before completion to leave a touch of sweetness in the final wine.
