Staff Comments: Cellared and bottled in Napa Valley! This wine gave us Goosebumps! Just decadent and super smooth. Wild violets, cassis, boysenberry pie and German chocolate. Our new favorite Pinot! The finish just sings it’s that good. Serve this with pecan crusted halibut, chicken parmesan and amaretto cookies.
Somm Comments: Ruby red with violet hues. Aromas of wild raspberries, Bing cherries, and hints of forest floor. Great fruit up front with notes of cranberry preserves, strawberries, and fig are all intertwined with a good amount of acidity. Medium in body with light tannins make this a great food wine. Soft fruits with a velvet mouth feel are balanced with some savory notes of bacon, mushroom, smoke and spice. A lengthy finish with slight touches of cherry cola. I would pair this wine with grilled salmon with polenta and a tomato ragu.
