Description
The wine company Gaja is one of the most famous in the world. In 1859 the winery was founded in Barbaresco by Giovanni Gaja. Giovanni Gaja was the great-grandfather of the current owner, Angelo Gaja. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually and the vineyard covers 92 hectares.
Each grape variety of Sito Moresco is processed individually and fermented in steel tanks for about two weeks at controlled temperatures of 25 and 27 ° C.. The wine is then aged for 18 months in barriques and aged for another 6 months in bottle.
