About Glaetzer Winery
Founded by Ben Glaetzer in 2001, the winery is known for producing small-batch, super-premium wines that highlight the unique terroir of the Barossa Valley. The region’s well-drained sandy clay loam and limestone soil yield low quantities of high-quality fruit, perfect for dry-grown Shiraz and Grenache.
Tasting Notes
This Shiraz heavy blend offers a dark red color and a nose of ripe raspberry, black fruit, cola, and plum. On the palate, expect flavors of blackberries, cassis, and raspberries, complemented by fine tannins and a finish with hints of mocha and wood spice.
