Description
The Hans Igler winery is located south of Lake Neusiedl in the sunniest part of Austria. The Igler family’s vineyards cover 40 hectares. The mild Pannonian climate and the clay and sandy gravel soils provide the perfect conditions for high-quality viticulture.
Hans Igler Vulcano consists of 40% Blaufraenkisch, 22% Zweigelt, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines thrive in a soil of gravel, sand and clay, giving the red wine a special depth and complexity. The wine is aged for 15 months in barriques, 50% of which is in new wooden barrels. This wine has a storage potential of around 10 years and is sealed with a natural cork.
