Description
The Hillinger Pinot Gris 2024 is an elegant, structured white wine from Austria’s Burgenland region that impresses with its depth, freshness and finesse. As one of the region’s flagship wineries, the Leo Hillinger winery stands for modern, natural winemaking and varietal wines full of character with high standards. The Pinot Gris 2024 embodies this philosophy impressively and combines expressiveness with the finest balance.
The grapes come from the best vineyards and are carefully selected. After harvesting, the grapes are left to macerate for 8 hours to extract structure and aromas from the grape skins. The subsequent fermentation takes place chilled in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and clarity. A five-month maturation on the fine lees provides additional depth, creaminess and aromatic complexity. The wine is bottled with a screw cap – practical, aroma-tight and ideal for a fresh style. Despite its elegant accessibility, this vintage offers ageing potential of up to 8 years, during which it can continue to gain finesse and depth.
