Description
The distillery was founded in 1879 by Charles Mortimer Dedman.
Due to Prohibition, which prohibited the production, sale and transportation of alcohol, Kentucky Owl was closed.
The whiskey was confiscated by the government and taken to a warehouse for storage, but this warehouse mysteriously burned down with all the good whiskey.
Dixon Deman, Charles’ great-great-grandson, took the fate of his family into his own hands and made it his goal to revive his family history.
The Kentucky Straight Rye consists of 95% rye, these are carefully selected by the Master Blender John Rhea.
