Description
2017 King Estate Pinot Gris is a beautiful example from a classic Oregon vintage. This wine has a pale straw color with glistening edges. Fresh fruit aromas of ripe pear and lime zest are followed by pleasant honeysuckle notes. On the palate, there are lively flavors of nectarine, ripe pear and fresh cut pineapple, highlighted by violet tinges. This is a rich, viscous Pinot Gris, with a striking balance of ripe fruit and fresh acidity. Enjoy now and until 2028.

These lemon, mint, basil and iced tea aromas will have you daydreaming about languishing on a veranda somewhere warm and tropical. The wine’s lemon shortbread and grapefruit flavors will not dissuade you of that notion. This is lighter-bodied fare, with gentle acidity.

Bright silver/straw-colored, the 2023 Pinot Gris is bottled under screwcap and leaps from the glass with notes of honeydew melon, grapefruit, fresh flowers, and fresh herbs. It’s nearly Sauvignon Blanc-like. Medium-bodied and pithy, it’s a dry, fresh style with solid value to enjoy over the near term to preserve its freshness.

Sleek and lively, with appealing lemon, nectarine and peach blossom accents that zip along the finish. Drink now. 114,000 cases made.
