La Scolca Gavi dei Gavi Bianco Secco DOCG 2023 comes from the heart of northern Italy’s Piedmont region, more precisely from the renowned municipality of Gavi in the province of Alessandria. Here, where the hilly landscape offers ideal conditions for winegrowing, lies the traditional La Scolca winery, which has been family-owned since 1919. Today, the estate is run by the fourth generation and is one of the most important producers of Cortese wines in Italy.
The Gavi dei Gavi is the prestige product of the estate and has a distinctive dark label that clearly distinguishes it from the classic Gavi Bianco Secco. It is made from 100% Cortese grapes from the best plots around the estate. Careful manual harvesting, selective vinification and controlled fermentation ensure a particularly elegant result. The DOCG designation of origin underlines the high quality standards.
