Petit Verdot, even in the small quantities present in this
wine, exudes its signature textural density and floral nose
of purple and blue flowers that complement Cabernet’s
macerated red and blue fruit so well. Cassis, graphite and
crushed rock follow through on the palate, with a vibrant,
cherry cola tone that rings in the finish.
The fruit for this wine was harvested from predominantly
young vines, and their youthful energy resonates on the
palate. It is medium in weight with a supple, juicy core of
blackberries that is lifted by hints of red licorice and spice.
There is an expansiveness on the finish as the tannins coat
the palate. The tannins themselves are very dusty, like a
cherry-flavored talcum powder.

This is structured, complex, dense and lengthy, a celebration of dark berry fruit that is layered and velvety smooth on the palate. Tobacco, oak and dried herb accent it with ease, complementing and contrasting in myriad ways and landing on a sophisticated finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is vivid in the glass, with striking aromatics, beautifully sculpted fruit and impeccable balance. All the elements simply fall into place, wrapped by an embrace of firm, yet ripe tannins. I can’t wait to see how the 2018 develops over the coming year. There is so much potential here.

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (White Label) features fragrant notes of red and black plums, lavender and mossy tree bark, over a core of cassis and boysenberries. The medium to full-bodied palate is refreshing and vibrant, delivering an approachable texture and herbal lift on the finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon sports a ruby/plum hue to go with medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of dried herbs, loamy earth, chocolate, and tobacco, as well as both red and black fruits. It’s another elegant, medium to full-bodied wine offering ripe tannins, good overall balance, and outstanding length.
