Description
La Contesse is a winery that has been run by the Bonotto family since 1970. It is located at the foot of the hill of Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the province of Treviso, Italy.
The winery specializes in the production of Prosecco and mainly uses the Glera grape variety, which is ideal for the production of sparkling wine.
Le Contesse Prosecco Frizzante Treviso is made from 100% Glera grapes from the province of Treviso. The grapes are carefully harvested in the first and second decade of September to ensure optimal ripeness. After gentle pressing of the grapes, the must is clarified and fermented at low temperatures to preserve its freshness and aromas.
The second fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled pressure tanks (autoclaves) with selected yeasts, which gives the Prosecco its fine perlage and harmonious structure. After ageing, this tart Prosecco is bottled and sealed with a screw cap.
