Description
The Francoli family distillery in Ghemme, Italy, has existed since 1875 and is one of the largest and best-known distilleries in Piedmont. It was the first grappa distillery to have an environmentally neutral CO2 balance and no negative impact on the environment. The heat required for the distillation process, for example, is obtained from plant-based fuels. The company is also involved in the “Impatto Zero” project and has acquired a protected area of 340,000 square meters in the forests of Costa Rica.
Luigi Francoli Grappa Rovere Di Slavonia & LIMOUSIN is an exquisite blend of a Nebbiolo grappa aged for three years and Dolcetto and Moscato grappas aged for eight months. It is initially matured for 26 months in Slovenian oak barrels before being refined for a further eight months in Limousin barrique barrels. This careful ageing gives the grappa its unique, complex variety of aromas and a particularly fine structure that delights connoisseurs and gourmets alike.
