In faraway Easter, baijiu is extremely popular. Now the grain-based spirit is finally available in Europe. Ming River Sichuan Baijiu is produced in the heart of Sichuan Province, on the Jangtze River, in the oldest distillery in China.
For more than 20 generations, the traditional manufacturing process has been passed down from master distiller to master distiller. The red sorghum stalks give the spirit its intense aroma. The mash matures for about two months in clay pits. This is followed by distillation and aging, which takes up to two years in clay pots.
