Description
Don’t let the name fool you – rather, this is distilled on a “Coffey” column still, as opposed to the pot stills that are traditional in malt whisky production. With whiskies from both of Nikka’s distillery’s present, the coffey still adds a kind of sheen that takes this in a slightly sweeter, more desserty direction, making it one of our favorite recommendations for Bourbon drinkers looking for something familiar in Japanese whisky. Praline, vanilla cream, dried fruit, plum – there are no hard edges here. Bottled at 45% abv.
