Old Forester B&B ‘Warehouse I’ Barrel Strength Bourbon

Selected onsite on Whiskey Row in Louisville, KY, this single barrel from Old Forester was distilled from a mash of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley and aged on the fourth floor of heat-cycled Warehouse I before bottling without chill filtration at a barrel proof of 131.1.

The nose is a dessert lover’s dream with delicious scents of a banana split doused in caramel sauce and homemade whipped cream supported by hints of milk chocolate, sweet oak, and cinnamon. The palate begins as sweet as the nose with flavors of cinnamon sugar, banana sorbet, rich caramel, and milk chocolate before some black pepper and baking spice appear in the middle of the sip. The finish returns to sweet banana and caramel with and undertone of oak and black pepper. This beautiful beast of a barrel is a marvelous example of what we love about Old Forester bourbon.
