Description
Founded in 2017, The Oxford Artisan Distillery grows grain in a radius of 80 kilometers around the university town of Oxford, which is used after harvesting for the production of the whiskey. Rye, wheat as well as barley are harvested using sustainable methods dating back to the 1800s. Weeds are controlled naturally using clover to best preserve the fields.
The distillery’s two stills, which are named Nautilus and Nemo, were handmade by South Devon Railway Engineering.
The Graduate Whisky combines whiskies from a total of six new American oak casks, which come from different cooperages. Likewise, these barrels differ in toasting degrees, sizes as well as climate zones. The grain used comes from Menggetreide stocks. This is a mixture of rye and wheat, and the cultivation is done together.
Distilled: 2017
