He had many passions, but his boat “Pilar” was his greatest.
The descendants of Hemingway have thus combined the name Papa (=Ernst Hemmingway) and his greatest passion (=Pilar) and brought this rum to the market.
In order for this rum to maintain or reflect the lifestyle, as well as attitude of Ernest Hemingway, a large part of the proceeds is donated to various institutions such as the International Game Fish Association, The Ocean Foundation, Pen International, etc..
The Papa’s Pilar 24 Solera Profile DARK RUM RYE WHISKEY BARREL is a solera blend that receives its finish in rye whiskey barrels.
The blends used are from the Caribbean, Central, South and North America.
