The Paul Kerschbaum winery is one of the leading wineries in Austria. It is located in the Blaufraenkisch region of Horitschon in Burgenland. The term “Blaufraenkischland” refers to a wine-growing region in central Burgenland, where the Blaufraenkisch grape variety is mainly cultivated. Paul Kerschbaum’s aim is to produce powerful, long-lasting wines with a woody touch. In 2011, Paul Kerschbaum placed the production of the wines in the hands of his son Michael.

Blaufraenkisch is the classic among Horitschon’s red wines. It is not for nothing that the area is also known as Blaufraenkischland.
