Description
Clear, bright, purple red with evident clearer tannic nuances around the glass edge. Olfactory sensations are persistent, fragrant and wide open exalting the fruit of the wine. It is also rounded by evident perception of strawberry and raspberry typical in this wine. Good gustative persistence with the classic light tannin astringency of Nebbiolo, very well rounded by the wood aromas and other flavour components (proteins, salts, trivalent salts). Lovely finish, persistent and stimulating.

Shows more savory and minerally elements than fruit, though the core of cherry holds its own against the eucalyptus, juniper, tobacco, iron and tar flavors. A bit rustic and chunky. Best from 2021 through 2026. 2,800 cases made, 1,080 cases imported.

The 2017 Langhe Nebbiolo is bold and flavorful, with all of the natural richness and ripeness of the year on display. Super-ripe raspberry, wild strawberry, mint and sweet spice abound. This is an especially lush, flamboyant style, and yet all the elements are nicely balanced.
