Pinhook Vertical Series 9 Year Bourbon special

Description

Pinhook’s Vertical Series follows barrels of MGP sourced bourbon (75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley) as they mature over eight years (from 4 to 12 years old).  The nine year old bourbon release is a blend of merely 100 barrels bottled at 114.4 proof.  The nose presents scents of malted chocolate balls, maraschino cherry, cinnamon toast, and charred oak.  The palate leans into sweet desserts with flavors of cherry, chocolate, almond, baking spices, and candied citrus.  The finish lingers with notes of chocolate covered cherries, cinnamon sugar, and sweet oak.
