Rodenbach Classic Flander’s Red Ale

Description

Rodenbach Classic sets the bar for Flemish red-brown ales. This ale owes its sweet and sour fruitiness and refreshing taste to the fact that it is partially matured in oak casks.

DAN’S NOTES:

This beer pours a reddish brown color with a medium sized tan head. Fruity aromas of tart cherry and green apple come through on the nose backed by some toffee malt and oak. The body is medium with medium light effervescent carbonation. Tart cherry and toffee malt come through up front on the palate followed by flavors of sweet bread. You get a slightly vinous but sour grape flavor on the finished accompanied by some notes of oak.
