Description
The SCAIA Garganega e Chardonnay is an elegant and fresh white wine that perfectly reflects the terroir of the region around Verona in Italy. Made from a careful cuvee of Garganega and Chardonnay grapes, this wine offers a perfect balance between fruitiness and minerality. The Sant Antonio winery, which was founded in 1989 by four brothers, benefits from a mild climate and fertile soils that allow the cultivation of numerous grape varieties, including Garganega and Chardonnay. These grapes grow on 10 to 15-year-old vines, which leads to full ripening and a high quality of the grapes.
After the harvest, the fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand and undergo cold maceration for 10 to 12 hours. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at low temperatures of 14-15°C, which brings out the aromas to their best advantage. The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its freshness and fruitiness. Bottled and sealed with a glass cork, the wine is suitable for storage for up to 4 years.
