Description
The Scheiblhofer winery is a family business and manages a vineyard area of about 104 hectares, making the winery one of the largest in Burgenland. All grapes are processed and bottled on the estate’s own premises. The municipality of Andau, where the winery is located, is one of the municipalities with the most hours of sunshine and creates ideal conditions for full-bodied wines due to the mineral gravel soil.
The winery is not only very well known for its Praedikatsweine, but also for its top red wines, such as the excellent “Big John”. Johann Scheiblhofer achieved more than 300 gold medals at nationwide awards, thus achieving the most awards nationwide.
