Delicate and understated, the 2022 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee opens with a peppery citrus tinge and dusty dried strawberries. It’s round and softly textured with pure red berry fruits riding a wave of brisk acidity. An herbal tinge comes forward over time as gently grippy tannins tug at the cheeks and hints of licorice fade.

Pouring a medium ruby hue, the 2021 Pinot Noir Grande Cuvee is inviting, with elegant aromas of cranberry cocktail, cinnamon spice, and orange peel. Medium-bodied and elegant, with snappy, crunchy red fruit, ripe tannins, and a clean finish. It has a touch of meaty cherry fruit, but it’s elegant. Drink it over the next few years.

The wine’s briary raspberry aroma is joined by an eclectic mix of eucalyptus, spicy cumin and wet pavement. The youthful fruit flavors are still a bit tart, with cranberry and ruby grapefruit battling a strong black-tea flavor. The wine’s acidity is potent, joined by a chalky texture that rubs exactly the right way.
