Description
The SOMMOS Chardonnay Somontano DOP is a white wine full of character from the up-and-coming Somontano wine-growing region in northern Spain. Nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, the region offers ideal conditions for growing international grape varieties such as Chardonnay. The Bodega Sommos winery, known for its modern architecture, technological innovation and respectful treatment of the terroir, is one of the pioneers of the new Spanish viticulture. With great precision and a clear focus on quality, a Chardonnay is produced here that harmoniously combines freshness, richness and elegance.
The grapes are harvested in the cool hours of the night to preserve the aromatic intensity. Partial ageing in French oak gives the wine additional depth and structure without masking the fruit. The alcohol content of 13.5 % vol. brings a pleasant fullness while retaining freshness.
