Bright and aromatic with rose, blueberry and currant character. Medium to full body, very fine tannins and a beautiful finish. Such finesse and beauty. Impressive for the vintage.

A rich, round version, boasting cherry, plum and earth aromas and flavors. Balanced, turning grainy in texture on the finish, where spice accents emerge. Drink now through 2022. 12,000 cases made.

The 2014 Crognolo is Sangiovese and a smaller part Merlot from the up-and-coming Valdarno area of Eastern Tuscany. The wine shows ripe cherry flavors that come as a surprise given the generally cooler and wetter nature of this vintage. Despite those ripe and soft fruit aromas that you encounter on the bouquet, the wine shows a thinner and less intense approach in the mouth. Drink Date: 2017-2022.
