Description

Since the foundation of the Balvenie distillery there have been hardly any changes; the Single Malts are still produced in the traditional way.

The Balvenie, with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, is still independent and family owned by its founders.

The 12 year old Balvenie Double Wood first matures in Bourbon barrels (10 years unverified). For perfection it is then matured in Spanish Sherry First-Fill barrels.
