Description
The Tyrconnell single malt whisky owes its name to a legendary racehorse that belonged to the Watt family, owners of the distillery, and won the prestigious Queen Victoria Cup in 1876. The name “Tyrconnell” has its roots in Gaelic and means “Land of the O’Donnells”, a tribute to the rich history and culture of Ireland.
True to tradition, this single malt is still distilled exclusively from malted barley, whereby the whisky undergoes a double distillation process. This gives it a particularly smooth character. Despite its comparatively short maturation period, the Tyrconnell is a high-quality and appealing dram that leaves nothing to be desired for whisky lovers.
The Tyrconnell single malt is an expression of elegance and quality, a truly memorable pleasure from the house of Tyrconnell.
