Description
The Miguel Torres winery is located in Vilafranca del Penedes in Spain. Since its foundation, the company has grown from year to year. Today, the winery covers more than 1,300 hectares of vineyards. The special wines are sold in more than 150 countries and have gained a high reputation worldwide.
The Torres Salmos, produced by Bodega Torres, is made from Garnacha Tinta (40%), Carinena (30%) and Syrah (30%). The grapes for this wine grow on slate soils on slopes, which gives the wine a special minerality.
After the harvest, maceration takes place for up to 25 days, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 7 to 10 days. Malolactic fermentation then takes place for 15 months in French barriques, which further intensifies the aromas. The wine is bottled in bottles with natural corks.
